During the first week of August, Palmetto Paving Corp is scheduled to begin work on a number of North Myrtle Beach road paving projects.
The roads to be paved include:
- Forest Drive – (Including Cypress Cove, Carolina Cove and Tanglewood Cove)
- 10th Avenue South
- Hilburn Street
- North Myrtle Point Boulevard
- Ye Olde Kings Highway
- Little River Neck Road
According to the planned work schedule, Palmetto Paving Corp will begin milling sections of Little River Neck Road during the day on August 1 in preparation for resurfacing the road from Sea Mountain Highway to north of the entrance to Tidewater Plantation. It is currently projected that Little River Neck Road will be paved during the nights of August 4 and August 5. Inclement weather and other factors could result in adjustments to the planned work schedule.When the resurfacing of Little River Neck Road has been completed, the other roads on the list will be resurfaced during the daytime over a three to four week period. Inclement weather and other factors could result in adjustments to the planned work schedule.The Little River Neck Road work will be paid for with $304,000 in funding from the Horry County Transportation Committee. Work on the city streets listed will cost about $220,000 and is funded by the City.
