The Florence Downtown Development Corporation  presents its first Third-Thursday Dining Courtyard  Event on Thursday.  In collaboration with the restaurants in downtown Florence along the South Dargan Street corridor it will kick off its first dining event on  July 18  from 6-9 pm with live entertainment featuring The Bobby Roberts Jr. Jazz Quartet.
Food & Beverages will be served and shared wait staff table service will make your dining experience complete,  allowing you, your family, and your friends a variety of food and beverages to choose from.  Participating restaurants in July include: Da Massimo's Italian, The Clay Pot, Thai 2, and Dolche Vita Fine Wine & Chocolate.
Entertainment: The Bobby Roberts Quartet playing in July is sure to please the crowd as they perform their four piece Jazz Ensemble in the style of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Evans, and more.  With Bobby Roberts Jr. on Tenor Saxophone, Reggie Eley on Keyboard, Kevin Singleton on Bass, and Adam Brown on Drums this is a show you won't want to miss!  Each month will feature a new local band, allowing participants to experience the arts and cultural district of downtown Florence as they
 ycelebrate local artists and musicians.
The Third-Thursday event and free concert is a family-friendly dining experience in Downtown Florence at the Renaissance Dining Courtyard.  The Courtyard is located behind the restaurants located on the 100  block of South Dargan Street across from the new Florence Museum.
Parking is available in both the City parking lot, in front of the participating restaurants along Dargan Street, as well as in the Pee Dee Mental Health parking area. The entrance to the Courtyard faces the Pee Dee Mental Health area.
The monthly event is currently programmed to run through November 2013.  Public participation helps fund this event, please come out and show your support for this Downtown Florence event.  In the cooler months the built-in fireplace will be used to warm the dining area creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.
Entry to this event is free to the public, however seating is limited based on availability of seating in the courtyard area. Participating restaurants will accept overflow into their restaurants.  This is a rain or shine event.
Bands will be moved into Dolche Vita in the month of July and August. Band will be announced on a flyer each month which can be found at www.florencedowntown.com,
