There’s been a little extra excitement at the Center Day School lately. A small grey kitten was discovered in a tree on the school grounds. Named Pecan by the school custodian, he has since become a school pet.
Their new found friend inspired the students. Recently, second graders at the school designed posters and wrote poems and short stories about Pecan.

Small cute big eyes peeping at me. “Creeping down the tree to get food to
“Back up the tree he goes to peep at me. “Who is it? It is me, Kitty Pecan.” Center Day School is a private Christian
school located near the corner of Church Street and National Cemetery Road serving male and female students in grades PK-4. The school is a member of the American Association of Christian Schools.
