speaker at League of Women
Voters on Monday
Darryl Bridges, vice president for development and executive director of the Francis Marion University Education Foundation will be the guest speaker for the League of Women Voters of Florence at its meeting on Monday, Nov. 25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend. The new programs in health care education and other majors planned for Francis Marion University will be presented. Mr. Bridges has worked at FMU in a variety of capacities since 1997, including Director of Residence Life, Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs and Public and Community Affairs. He holds a Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. Since coming to Florence, he has served on numerous community boards, including Keep Florence Beautiful, The Downtown Development Corporation, Hope Health and the Pee Dee Education Center. The League of Women Voters is a non partisan organization providing information on issues of interest to the public. The League encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
