The annual oyster roast, the major fundraising event to support the Florence Museum, has been set for Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. The fifteenth annual event and celebration will take place on the grounds of the museum located at 558 Spruce Street. This year, it is important for the public to note that the event is being held on a Tuesday. A sell out event each year, this is the Florence Museum’s only annual fundraising event. The proceeds benefit the Florence Museum to enhance museum collections and programming. In addition to the roasted oysters catered by Ben Moise of Charleston, South Carolina, The Borrowed Time Band will provide live Blue Grass Music to entertain guests and supporters of the Florence Museum. Tickets are $65 per person ($50 for Museum Members or Friends of the Museum) and include all the oysters one can eat, two beverages and hors d’oeuvres and Brunswick Stew. Tickets are currently available at Crawford Law Firm, 510 South Coit Street. Tickets are limited.
