LAS VEGAS, NV – Jennifer Nicole Ward of Darlington, S.C., and Jason Eric Howell of Clover, S.C., were married on Oct.16, at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. The Reverend Rudy Aguila performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Van Ward III of Darlington. Her brother is Zachary Van Ward of Clemson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allen Capers Jr. of Darlington, Mrs. Hoyt Belk of Florence, and Mr. and Mrs. William Van Ward Jr. of Byron, GA. She wore a strapless taffeta mermaid wedding gown trimmed with beaded appliqués with a fitted ruched bodice and a chapel- length train. Her rhinestone tiara was joined to a single tier veil detailed with scalloped edges with bead and crystal motif. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink roses.
The bride is a 2008 honor graduate of The Byrnes Schools in Florence and a 2011 cum laude graduate of DeVry University with a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems specializing in web development and administration. She was employed by Capital Software Consultants in Columbia, SC, as a .NET developer before her marriage. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Digh of Clover. He is a 2000 graduate of Clover High School and a 2003 graduate of York Tech in Rock Hill, SC, with an associate degree in the arts. He is employed as the merchandise manager of JC Penney in Raleigh, NC. A dinner reception followed the ceremony at Aureole’s in the Mandalay Bay Resort. After the wedding and honeymoon trip in Las Vegas, the couple now resides in Raleigh, NC.
