MCLEOD RN OF THE YEAR, SALLY HYATT, LEFT, TECH OF THE YEAR, THOMAS CONYERS, AND LPN OF THE YEAR, GINGER ROGERSON
McLeod Regional Medical Center celebrated Nurses Week by honoring its nurses with a recognition program on Thursday, May 8. Tony Derrick, RN, and CNO at McLeod, served as the emcee and opened the program with encouraging words. Judy Bibbo, RN, Senior VP, followed with supporting remarks. Derrick recognized the Palmetto Gold & Specialty Nurses, noting that McLeod now has 125 nurses who have been honored with this statewide designation.
Unit Specific Techs were presented certificates of recognition. Thomas Conyers in Surgical II was honored as the Tech of the Year. Unit Specific LPNs were recognized and awarded certificates. Ginger Rogerson of Surgical I was honored as LPN of the Year. Unit Specific RNs were recognized and Salley Hyatt, PP/GYN, was honored at the RN of the Year. The program ended with attendees reciting the Nightingale Pledge and closing remarks by Derrick.
