McLeod Air Reach medical helicopter, McLeod Child Reach ambulance and McLeod Safe Kids, teaching the children about the importance of helmet safety with the “Jello Brain,” made a visit to Camp Pee Dee Pride at Francis Marion University on Tuesday, July 8. As a part of its community outreach efforts, McLeod Health is a sponsor of Camp Pee Dee Pride. This camp provides children in Florence County with a summer experience that includes activities and games and teaches respect for law enforcement. Since its creation more than 16 years ago, an estimated 4,300 children from all walks of life have enjoyed week-long camping experiences. Lt. Wayne Howard of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office oversees the camp.
