Local youth explored their talents and creativity last week in First Baptist Church’s music and art camp.

The four-day How Great Thine Art camp offered art classes, choir rehearsal and a choice in music lessons. Choices included percussion, guitar, chimes, handbells, autoharp, recorder, and interpretive signing. The camp ran Monday through Thursday, July 16-19, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. It was open to children who had completed grades two through six.

Parents, grandparents and friends were invited to come see and hear what the students learned at their performance on Thursday evening,  followed by an art expo and reception.

This was the third year that the church has hosted this music and art camp.
