Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School faculty voted Tyler James Cook as Teacher of the Year for 2013-2014. Cook, who teaches US history, government, philosophy, and music, has been with Trinity-Byrnes for four years (2008-2009; 2011-present). He also serves as the Social Studies Department chair, announces at sporting events, coaches the Uppers School Quiz Bowl Team, and runs sound for the school’s many plays, musicals, concerts, and assemblies. “I work with some of the best teachers in the Pee Dee, many of whom work much harder than I do and are far more deserving. I am incredibly humbled by their vote of confidence and am grateful for their love, which I am lucky enough to experience everyday,” said Cook.
