DARLINGTON – Darlington Kiwanis Club President John Milling and Darlington Kiwanis Club Treasurer David Vaughan, presented the $2,000 Key Club scholarship to Arthur Turner who graduated from Darlington High School in June. Despite many challenges growing up in foster care and having visual impairments, Turner spent three years as an enthusiastic member of Key Club. He participated in every Key Club project and attended every meeting during that time. He was a great part of the organization. His positive attitude and work ethic will carry him far. He plans to attend Florence-Darlington Technical College to study computer technology. The Darlington Kiwanis Club raises the funds for this scholarship through its annual oyster roast held in March. The club will meet again on July 3 and every other Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Darlington Country Club. Look for them on Facebook @www.facebook.com/pages/Darlington-Kiwanis-Club/202514176496761.
