The City of Darlington is hosting the Little League Baseball State Championship Tournament. It continues through Sunday, July 21, at James E. Welch stadium in Darlington with two games each day.
Game one begins at 6 p.m. today and Friday.
Game one begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Seven teams from across the state are competing. The Darlington boys will be defending their back-to-back state titles. Earlier this month, the team captured its third straight District title.
“It’s wonderful to be able to host events like this, to highlight our youth’s athletic abilities, and to give residents activities to attend without having to drive to other towns,” said Lisa Chalian-Rock, planning director for the City of Darlington.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children.
