“And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.” (Genesis 22:13 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.) My friend, Angela lives in Missouri now. Recently she began working on her degree on-line and needed a small desk to work from. She saw one in Target for $149 that she liked but the family budget couldn’t handle that cost just for her. God knew her need and one day to her surprise she walked into Target and it was marked down to $19.44. She went to the register thinking perhaps it was mismarked, but sure enough it was accurate. She posted a picture on Facebook of the desk and how excited she was that God had provided. I hurriedly replied back with “He is faithful to the faithful.” I have known Angela for 30 plus years and watched her grow up in the church. She was helpful and faithful to a church planter pastor and family. Because of her faithfulness God was faithful to her. Two needs and God supplied both. Abraham was in need of a sacrifice and God provided. Angela needed a desk and He made the way. What are you in need of today? He is faithful to the faithful. You can always count of Him. He does keep track of faithfulness. It pays to be faithful! Down through the years the Lord has been faithful to me. He has supplied every need I’ve ever had. I personally can testify to His faithfulness! So can many others like me, Abraham and Angela.
