Cooks for Christ hosts chicken bog
Gabriele is the daughter of Joseph and Rebecca Floyd. She was born at 27 weeks and weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. She suffers from quadspastic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, congenital hip dysplasia, kyphasoliosis, scoliosis, neck, knee and hip pain, joint pain in her ankle and foot, nerve plexustroot disorder and arthritis. She has had several surgeries throughout her short life. She is now a 17 year-old non-verbal, non-mobile teenager. She sees a specialist in Columbia, and needs a wheelchair accessible van to help with transportation.
Cooks for Christ is hosting a benefit for Gabriele on Thursday, January 24, at the West Florence Fire Station on Pine Needles Road in Florence. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and dinner will be served from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Drive through lanes will be open for your convenience and a bake sale will be held all day. Plates are $8 each. Lunch and dinner can be delivered for orders of seven (7) or more plates. To schedule a delivery, please complete a delivery form and fax or email according to instructions provided on the form. The menu consists of chicken bog, green beans, slaw and bread.
