Florence Library plans drop-in for children, teen programs
The Florence County Library will host a drop-in for special products and programs for children and teens on Saturday, March 12, noon to 4 p.m. in the Greenberg Children’s Library. The library will be offering Playaway Launchpad, a secure and pre-loaded learning tablet for children. Two iPad Kiosk Stations will be available for children ages 2-8 with 50 preloaded educational apps. A Lego table for 2-8 years olds will also be available for children to use their building skills to create.
The library will offer a Makerspace for children ages 5-13 that includes games and science and art activities. Teen Tech Week is March 6-12 with the theme “Create it At your Library!” The library will offer a Robotics demonstration from Florence School District One Robotics Team the Technomancers. Francis Marion University Industrial Engineering and Florence Darlington Tech (SiMT) will offer a 3-D printing demonstration for all ages.
