Greenwood group named ‘The Dream Team’
The American Heart Association is recognizing Greenwood Elementary as a Heart of Gold School for having been designated the top giver in Florence 1 Schools and a Top 25 School in the Eastern Carolinas having raised over $10,000 for the organization. The Greenwood students took a health challenge of being kind, moving more, or drinking more water, while reaching out to family and friends to support these challenges with special hearts. “Dr. Collins, the Kids Heart Challenge Team, and all the students and staff at Greenwood Elementary are to be commended for their dedication to improving the health of their students while participating in a lifesaving community service project,” said Jane Lott, youth market director of American Heart Association. “Thanks are also extended to all our participating schools this year who made a difference in the lives of their students and our community!” Pictured left to right Dr. Susan Collins, John Delffs, Crissy Welch, Tina Salyer and Rebecca Hickson.
