The News Journal and Lidl give away ten turkeys
The News Journal and Lidl partnered together to give away ten turkeys this year. Lidl donated the turkeys to The News Journal for our Turkey Contest. Individuals were able to enter their name into a drawing for a chance to win a turkey from the local grocery store.
On Friday, November 16 after the contest had closed, Lidl Manager Casey Humber stopped by The News Journal office to help Editor Philip Maenza III pick out the winners. The winners of the contest were Melissa Woodle of Florence, Lisa Fulmer of Florence, Deloris Barcus of Darlington, Corey Lucas of Darlington, Pat Miller of Florence, Chris Jones of Timmonsville, Enonas Graham of Florence, Gloria Reed of Timmonsville, Cathy Mosher of Darlington, and Jeannie Montrose of Florence.
The News Journal would like to congratulate our winners and thank everyone who participated. We had over 100 entries for this contest. Winners please contact the office at 843-667-9656 if you haven’t already.
We would also like to recognize our other Turkey Contest sponsors, St. Luke Lutheran Church and Darlington Bait and Tackle, as well.
We, of course, want to thank Lidl for donating the turkeys and Store Manager Casey Humber for working so closely with us.
Finally, a special shout out to our publisher Don Swartz for supporting our contest.
