GREAT BLIZZARD OF 1973: The Pee Dee Region was covered in almost two feet of snow following a winter snowstorm n February of 1973. Mother nature dumped snow on South Carolina for three days, leaving people without power from the Upstate to the Low Country. Some snowdrifts were measured as high as eight feet.
