FLORENCE AIR & MISSILE MUSEUM – This photo taken by Tom Kirkland, circa 1960s, shows an aerial view of the Air & Missile Museum which was located at the airport entrance on U.S. 301. The museum opened in January of 1964, and displayed aircraft and missiles of various branches of the service. It was closed in December of 1997.
