Coin and Currency Show at SiMT on Oct. 9

on Tuesday, 21 September 2021. Posted in Local News

The 2021 Pee Dee Area Coin and Currency Show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the SIMT building of Florence-Darlington Technical College.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m., is the only numismatic show in the Grand Strand or Pee Dee regions of South Carolina this year.

The Pee Dee Coin Club, the non-profit sponsor of the show, said about 25 vendors will be on site to buy, sell, or trade United States, world, and ancient coins and currency. A vendor will also be on site to sell numismatic supplies.

Parking and admission are free. Food service will be available. Children are welcome to attend. All children, who we call young numismatists, will receive a “goodie bag” for attending. Several vendors will be available to provide free appraisals on your old coins as well.

It is the current policy of Florence/Darlington Technical College that all attendees must wear a mask at all times (except while eating or drinking), social distancing will be observed, and free hand sanitizer will be available in several locations during the show.

FDTC has increased the size of our space to spread out our vendors, and the area is well ventilated. For additional information, visit
