Florence Symphony Guild to host Holiday Home Tour
The Florence Symphony Guild will host the ninth annual Holiday Home Tour, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5.
After missing the last two years, the tour returns with five homes all decked out for the holidays. Each home will be decorated in its own unique way.
This year’s home locations are:
• 523 Cherokee Rd.
• 1431 Dorchester Rd.
• 825 Abbington Hall Dr.
• 600 Rosewood Dr.
• 2516 Ascot Dr.
For convenience, masks will be provided at the door of each home should you need one.
Advanced tickets for the self-guided tour are on sale for $20 at First Reliance Bank (West Palmetto Street branch.
Taylor Garden and Gift Shop, Talbots, Fishers and Cynthia’s Fine Apparel and Shoes. Tickets also can be purchased at each home for $20 during the tour. Each ticket has the addresses of the homes and a map inside. You may begin your tour at any of the five homes.
The Holiday Home Tour is one of two fundraisers of the Florence Symphony Guild, a not-for-profit organization. The Symphony Guild is the largest donor to the Florence Symphony Orchestra and also provides support to other musical endeavors in the Florence area.
Founded in 1949, the Florence Symphony Orchestra is one the oldest continuously operating symphonies in the state of South Carolina, with approximately 60 musicians from Florence and the surrounding area. The symphony’s next scheduled performance is a Holiday Pops concert at the FMU Performing Arts Center on Dec.13. It will feature F1S vocal stars and members of the South Carolina Dance Theatre.
