Lucky Shamrock StreetFest This Friday Night In Downtown Florence
Downtown Florence kicks off their 2016 streetfest events with the annual Lucky Shamrock Festival this Friday, March 11th from 5:30 until 9:00 p.m. The event is put on by the Junior League of Florence. The St Patrick’s themed event will feature the music of Too Much Sylvia playing Beach, Motown, Funky 70's, Retro 80's as well as current hits from Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Florida Georgia Line and other country favorites. The Lucky Shamrock Festival takes place in the 100 block of South Dargan Street in the heart of Downtown Florence. A wide variety of food vendors will be featured including Wholly Smokin, Rita's Italian Ice, The Library, 1031, Victor's, BB Outdoor, Low Country Kettle Corn, The Donut Guy, Ashley's Yummy Treats, and others. Some of the featured Irish foods will include Irish Beef Stew, Corned beef and cabbage, Rueben sliders, Banger dogs & Kraut and Sausage Rolls. For those that prefer a more American cuisine there will also be Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, Italian Sausage, Turkey Legs, Chili Cheese Fries, Chicken on a Stick, Chicken Fingers, Mac and Cheese, Chicken Bog, BBQ Sandwiches, Funnel Cakes, Deep Fried Oreo’s, Deep Fried or Chocolate Dipped Cheesecake, Popcorn and Cotton Candy. A variety of beers, wines as well as soft drinks will also be available. The Lucky Shamrock Festival is family friendly event and will include a Kids Zone to keep the children entertained all evening long. Admission to the event is free.
