WF teacher gets Japan Fellowship

Evan Sellers, an Advanced Placement Human Geography teacher at West Florence High School, was selected for the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s prestigious Japan Fellowship. As one of the 18 teachers selected nationwide, Sellers will participate in a two-week all expenses paid immersion experience in Japanese history, politics, foreign relations, economics, and culture.

The trip to Japan includes visits to the cities of Tokyo, Nikko, Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Matsuyama. In each city, tours and visits to sites of economic, political, cultural, and historical importance will be intertwined with learning experiences by experts in East Asian studies.

The Foreign Policy Research Institute is a public policy think tank formed in 1955 and based in Philadelphia, PA. Its primary focus and research revolves around geopolitics, international relations, and international security.
