Y offering ‘Safety Around Water’ program

The world is 71% water. Your children are 100% curious. “Safety Around Water” is for children, ages 5 to 14, who do not know how to swim and have not participated in swim lessons before. Formerly called Y Splash, this week-long program of water safety and swim instruction, including a t-shirt, only costs $5 per child thanks to Walmart in Southside Commons. Dates are June 13-17, at the Quinby Community Pool. These are 40-minute classes from 3 until 6 p.m. Register at the Y front desk no later than June 12 at 6 p.m. Space is limited.
